Monday - Students will complete guided notes on the growth of Georgia in the decades following World War II. Each student will also be responsible for completing the "Growth of GA Post WWII" question sheet and have it checked for accuracy/completion by the end of class.
Tuesday - 10 question mini-quiz on SS8H10/Growth of GA Post WWII; Begin Civil Rights Movement unit (SS8H11) with guided notes (Note: These notes are from the same packet as the SS8H10 notes.) Wednesday - Finish Civil Rights movement notes; 3-2-1 Exit ticket Thursday - Students will complete document analysis questions on the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision and complete a 6 C's on an article pertaining to the desegregation of UGA in the 1960's. Friday - Students will begin a timeline project on the Civil Rights movement. Be sure to follow ALL directions on the instruction/rubric sheet given in class.Use your notes or New Georgia Encyclopedia for information ONLY.
